Life Enrichment Coordinator

Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic, compassionate, and creative Life Enrichment Coordinator to join our team and lead programming for our Assisted Living residents. The ideal candidate is passionate about working with seniors, particularly those living with dementia and other memory-related conditions, and is dedicated to creating meaningful experiences that enhance residents' physical, emotional, cognitive, and social well-being.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive life enrichment program tailored to the interests, abilities, and needs of the residents.

  • Plan, coordinate, and facilitate a variety of recreational, educational, and social activities that promote cognitive stimulation, physical wellness, and meaningful engagement.

  • Collaborate with caregiving and clinical team members to understand each resident's unique preferences, strengths, and abilities and adapt programs accordingly.

  • Encourage resident participation and foster a welcoming environment that promotes connection, dignity, and a sense of belonging.

  • Coordinate community events, outings, holiday celebrations, and special programs that enhance residents' quality of life.

  • Maintain accurate records of resident participation and evaluate program effectiveness to ensure activities remain engaging and purposeful.

  • Build positive relationships with residents, families, volunteers, and team members to support a vibrant community culture.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a senior living, assisted living, memory care, healthcare, or related setting preferred.

  • Experience working with individuals living with dementia or Alzheimer's disease strongly preferred.

  • Knowledge of person-centered programming and therapeutic approaches for memory care residents.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

  • Creative, energetic, and passionate about enriching the lives of older adults.

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Education & Certifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

  • Activity Director Certification or related certification preferred.

Schedule

Primarily Monday-Friday 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM with occasional pre-planned evening and weekend activities.
