Description Position Summary: The Metro. Market Mobile Market Assistant Lead will be a vital member of the Metro. Market sales team, responsible for managing on-site programming, the cash register on market days, staff management on-site and at warehouse, and providing excellent service to customers of the Metro. Market.
Ideal candidate: Proactive, communicates effectively, takes initiative, and can manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Essential Functions
Salary: 20.66 - 22.75 Metro. Market Program Work with the Metro. Market Pricing and Procurement Assistant Lead to select appropriate items and ensure key products are in stock. Assist the team with loading and unloading products on and off any Metro. Market vehicle. Work with the Metromarket Lead to plan for voucher usage and processing.
Work with the Metro. Market Pricing and Procurement Assistant Lead to ensure enough products are available for the influx of customers using vouchers. Team Management Serve as the site lead on the vehicle route. Manage drivers, operations associates, and volunteers at each location ensuring processes are followed and issues are addressed.
Ensure all Metro. Market staff and volunteers deliver excellent customer service to all community members, and an attractive and safe retail environment is maintained. Work with Metro. Market Lead to address and improve the onsite programing experience Quality Control Ensure the highest levels of quality control, which includes being sure that all foods are fresh, safe, and visually appealing.
Ensure that the Metro. Market vehicle and its surroundings are clean and free of debris at each site. Cash Management Oversee accounting of cash generated at POS working with the Metro. Market Lead. Ensure that all registers are accurately reconciled daily. Collect all money and necessary reports for all registers and send to accounting daily as needed.
Operate any Metro. Market vehicles appliances such as refrigeration systems and diesel generators. Provide feedback for monthly and weekly reporting of sales and overall site performance at meetings and as needed. Attend weekly leadership meeting to communicate and improve the community and employee experience. Other duties as assigned.

Must be an effective team member and maintain a professional demeanor with the ability to listen to others.
Knowledgeable about nutrition and cooking a plus. Special Requirements: Must have valid driver’s license. Must have Hep A vaccination or willingness to obtain vaccination prior to start date. Familiar with Trauma Informed Principles. Willingness to drive transit vans for food deliveries within the St. Louis area. Willingness to assist with other OFS duties as required or as assigned.
Working Conditions and Physical Demands: The job is also very physically active Ability to stand for the majority of an 8-10 hour shift Ability to stand for up to two hours at a time and lift 40 pounds. Must be available for work 6am-7pm M-F and occasional Saturdays.
