Financial Controller Montgomeryville, PA (Full Time, Permanent Opportunity) We are seeking a Financial Controller to join our Team.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting: Controllers are responsible for the accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in accordance with the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Budget Management: You play a crucial role in developing and managing the company’s budget, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions to ensure financial objectives are met.

Internal Controls: Establishing and monitoring internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial regulations is a critical duty. Team Leadership: Controllers manage the accounting department, providing guidance and support to accounting staff, and ensuring that the team is capable of meeting Elm Terrace Gardens financial needs.

Strategic Planning: They provide strategic financial leadership, assisting in decision making processes related to investments, mergers, and acquisitions, and evaluating financial performance to recommend improvements. Compliance and Audits: Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as overseeing internal and external audits, is a key responsibility.

Cash Flow Management: Controllers analyze cash flow and project future revenues to ensure the organization maintains adequate liquidity for operations.

Educational Background: A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance , or a related field is typically required, with a CPA designation or a masters’ degree preferred. Experience: Significant experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a CCRC (continuing care retirement community), managerial experience is essential for this role.

Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are necessary to interpret financial data and make informed decisions. Leadership Abilities: Effective leadership and communications skills are crucial for managing teams and collaborating with office manager, other departments, families and residents.
