Costume Sewing & Patternmaking Technician I
Job description
Reports to: National Director of Sewing Job Summary: Create, repair, and maintain high-quality mascot costumes to meet client needs.
Responsibilities
Create and maintain high-quality mascot costumes for various events and organizations Repair and modify existing mascot costumes as needed Work with clients to ensure their needs are met and their expectations are exceeded Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of projects Maintain a clean and organized work area Keep up to date with industry trends and techniques Job Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent Minimum of 2 years of experience in mascot costume creation and repair Proficient in sewing and patternmaking Knowledge of various fabrics and materials used in mascot costume creation Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Physical Demands/Work Environment: (The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.) Individuals may need to sit or stand upwards of 7 hours per shift. Will require climbing of stairs and walking on a level surface for periodically throughout the day. Be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
