JOB SUMMARY

This Quality Manufacturing Intern role will support the Department through various technical and clerical tasks.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Document quality processes in written procedures. General clerical/administriave work within the comapny’s Manufacturing ERP system. Incoming inspection of mechanical, electrical, and optical components. Manage maintenance for non-calibrated equipment such as ESD Surfaces, Clean Dry Air, HEPA filters, UV Ovens, Environmental Chambers, etc.

Provide support to other departments as necessary. Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Currently pursuing a degree in either Quality, Industrial and Management Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or equivalent. Familiar with the use of mechanical inspection equipment (calibers, dial indicators, gauge pins, etc.) Understands tolerance requirements for design of components and manufacturing.

Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings. Proficiency in Microsoft software packages such as WORD, EXCEL, OUTLOOK and PowerPoint. Ability to work to task and project specifications and complete per defined schedules. Highly organized, with an ability to efficiently milti-task. Excellent judgment, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Superior verbal, and written, communication skills. Exceptional attention to detail. This position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. e. ‘Green Card Holder’), Political Asylee, or Refugee. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be capable of working in front of a computer for long periods of time. Must be able to stand and sit for extended periods of time. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to use fingers and hands to manipulate small parts. Excellent vision is required to perform job.

Required to work with chemicals such as Acetone, Methanol, and Isopropyl Alcohol for cleaning purposes.
