Medical and Records Coordinator

Responsible for the arrangement with other health professionals regarding health and safety standards for: out-of-home child care, child care licensing requirements, disease reporting requirements for care providers, immunizations and injury prevention for children, medication management, and knowledge of community health and mental health resources for children.

Creates initial case files for new intakes upon admission and maintains files organized and updated. Works closely with the Residential Nurse and helps coordinate new intake medical assessments with nurse. Minimum High school diploma or equivalent required PLUS a minimum of one (1) year employment experience in the child welfare field working with children and / or adolescents in a social service setting AND one (1) year of clerical / office experience.

Must have good organizational and communication skills. Must have a valid Florida Driver’s License and a good driving record.
