Operator 1st Shift (Cream Room)

Palmer Candy is looking for Operator's at our Bluff St facility. 1st shift will work Monday-Friday. Monday-Thursday hours are 5:00 AM- 4:30 PM with Friday hours varying from 6 to 10-hour shifts. Saturday hours may be scheduled due to business needs. Team Member’s will be notified by plant management if schedules were to change outside of the times listed above.

Job Title: Operator Reports to: Plant Manager/ Supervisor Job Summary: This role operates all machines in a safe and efficient way. This Team Member oversees the production line as well as the packaging of confectionery products. Supervisory Responsibilities: N/A Duties/ Responsibilities: Ensure that Team Members are producing and packaging fine quality products in a safe, secure, and sanitary manner within the appropriate specifications outlines by company managers.

Required Skills/Abilities: Learn to operate all machines safely and efficiently Make cases for product whenever possible Check product and bags for quality on a regular basis Pull full loads to the warehouse with hand jack or power jack Keep a count on finished products Assist and work alongside others on the line when needed Always keep work area and machine clean and clear Troubleshoot, solve and fix minor machine problems as they arise Train other employees as needed Immediately let the Supervisor know when a problem arises with a machine, quality of product or film This role requires the ability to verbally communicate proficiently in English to effectively engage with internal teams.

Applicant must be proficient in reading and understanding English-language manuals, equipment, instructions, and other documents relevant to the role. Regular and timely attendance is required for this job.
