The Role The primary duty of the Oral Surgery Assistant is to assist in the overall delivery of oral surgery and to be an integral part of the patient care team by consistently delivering the most memorable and fun service experience possible for every patient, every day in every office.

Title: Oral Surgery Assistant Reports To: Surgery Business Manager Position Status: Part-time Pay Range: $28 - $32/hour Location: Sacramento, Greenback, Roseville The Essential Job Elements Prepare treatment area for patient by following procedures and protocols Prepare patient for surgery by welcoming, comforting and seating patient Assist the doctor during treatment procedures Assist in the recovery of patients Perform dental infection control procedures Assist the doctor during consults Take x-rays Perform all lab related procedures Hand off patient at check -out Ensure surgery patients are comfortable before leaving the office and have proper post-op instructions Complete care calls and thank you cards Assist in managing and controlling supply inventory Document dental care services by charting in patient records Maintain strict compliance with all pertinent laws and regulations (HIPAA, OSHA, ADA, Dental Board, etc…) Maintain safe and clean working environment Other duties as assigned The Schedule The typical Saturday only oral surgery schedule is, 6:30AM - 3:30PM.

This position requires availability to work at least 2 Saturdays per month. The office hours and schedules may vary by location and business need. Specific shifts will be based on the needs and operating hours of your assigned work location. Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the education, experience, knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Dental Assistant Certificate Required Current & active state certified RDA license preferred Must have a minimum of 2+ years working in Dentistry Strong preference for experience in an oral surgery office OMSA certified preferred PALS Certified (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) preferred Positive demeanor Loves working with children Excellent customer service skills Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail Clean, neat professional appearance Knowledge of Dentrix and/or Planet DDS Denticon a plus All KCD&O associates are expected to demonstrate our core values of Knowledge, Curiosity, Dependability & Ownership
