Strong interpersonal and communication skills. A commitment to professional development and continuous learning. A passion for physical education and for inspiring students to love learning. Experience working with students K-2 and with students with disabilities. Position Summary/Responsibilities: The Physical Education Teacher provides engaging, inclusive instruction that builds students' movement skills, confidence, cooperation, and lifelong interest in physical activity.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and teach lessons aligned with New York State standards and district curriculum. Adapt instruction to meet diverse student needs, including IEP and 504 supports. Maintain a safe, welcoming environment and teach responsible participation. Assess student progress and provide meaningful feedback. Collaborate with staff and families and participate in professional learning.

Manage equipment and fulfill assigned professional responsibilities. This is a long term substitute position that will start on 1/29/27. We are unsure of the end date.
