Class A Regional Flatbed Driver RDF Logistics Inc. Position Overview

This regional flatbed role provides consistent freight (construction materials, steel, machinery, lumber, and general commodities), regular home time (typically weekly or most weekends), and the satisfaction of skilled securement work. Operate within a regional radius (generally 500–1,000 miles), with opportunities for steady miles and premium loads.

Key Responsibilities

Safely operate a late-model Class A tractor-trailer with flatbed trailers (48' and 53', with/without bulkheads). Perform securement using chains, straps, tarps, and other methods to meet DOT and company standards. Conduct thorough pre- and post-trip inspections and maintain compliance with all federal, state, and company regulations.

Load/unload freight (physical effort required; assistance available where possible). Plan efficient routes, meet delivery schedules, and communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and receivers. Use electronic logging devices (ELD) and complete required paperwork accurately. Handle Hazmat loads when qualified (premium pay applies).

Competitive Mileage-Based Pay Earn based on loaded and empty miles with clear premiums for specialized freight: $1.15 per mile – Loaded Hazmat (requires valid Hazmat endorsement) $0.90 per mile – Loaded non-Hazmat $0.45 per mile – Empty (deadhead) miles Additional earning potential includes: Tarp pay Detention and layover compensation Multi-stop bonuses Safety and performance incentives Top performers with consistent Hazmat loads often achieve strong weekly earnings in the $1,500–$2,500+ range, depending on miles and experience.

Requirements
