Teamsters Clerk III

TEAMSTERS CLERK III An employee in this position coordinates, processes, requests and obtains bench warrants in cases where defendants fail to appear for criminal court hearings in Dauphin County. He/she also coordinates the daily prisoner transportation list for court proceedings. The employee also dispatches hearing notifications and prepares files and documents for attorneys, consequent to Probation Officers’ requests for revocation of probation and parole.

Other duties of this position include assisting at the front desk as assigned, daily courthouse mail runs, and regular office filing. He/she reports to the Deputy Administrator and Chief Deputy District Attorney. This position is a Teamsters Union position. MINIMUM EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND SKILLS Graduation from high school or an accredited equivalency program with coursework in secretarial sciences, clerical skills, business administration, business English and/or related fields.

A favorable criminal background check is required.

1. Must possess rudimentary knowledge of office automation.
2. Must possess some technical knowledge of operating personal computers and other office equipment as needed; must possess skill in data entry, including Microsoft Office.
3. Must be able to speak and understand the English language and to follow oral and written instructions.
4. Must possess the ability to maintain confidentiality regarding criminal justice information reviewed as part of working in the Office of the District Attorney and with access to state criminal history systems.
5. Must be able to pay close attention to detail and concentrate on work.
6. Must be able to multitask and prioritize workload and meet strict deadlines.
7. Must be able to work as part of a team as well as individually with minimal supervision. Starting Salary: $15.86 Hourly/$32,988.80 Annually
