Cantor (NE)
Job description
Saint Mary's Catholic Church, located in Hagerstown, Maryland, seeks candidates for a Cantor. With the Music Director and music ministers, the Cantor proclaims the Word through song and leads the congregation in song at Mass, facilitating the spirited and joyful worship of the assembly. The Cantor rehearses with the choir weekly, and prior to Sunday Mass.
At rehearsals, the Cantor will provide knowledgeable and creative support to the Music Director and choir. This is a part-time position working up to 5 hours per week.
