Ultrasonographer II Location: Jackson, TN, 38305 Job Summary The Ultrasonographer II is responsible for the operation of diagnostic ultrasound equipment to perform dynamic ultrasound procedures at a technical level that does not require direct supervision. This position may require performing procedures in more than one modality on a rotating basis.

Key Responsibilities

Operate diagnostic ultrasound equipment to conduct dynamic ultrasound procedures accurately and efficiently. Perform ultrasound procedures in multiple modalities as needed on a rotating schedule. Apply knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and physiology to obtain quality diagnostic images. Recognize subtle differences between healthy and pathological areas during imaging.

Maintain clear and effective communication with patients, physicians, and healthcare team members. Adhere to aseptic techniques and maintain a clean and safe working environment. Ensure proper documentation and reporting of ultrasound findings.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent. Completion of an approved ultrasound program. Minimum of two years of experience operating ultrasound equipment and performing diagnostic procedures. Strong knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and physiology. Proficient skills in operating ultrasound equipment. Ability to recognize subtle differences between healthy and pathological tissue.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Knowledge and application of aseptic techniques.
