Music/ Band/ Chorus Teacher

Job Title: Music/ Band/ Chorus Teacher Reports To: Principals of Schools Location: East Haven Academy Education: The successful candidate must hold current a valid Connecticut teacher certificate, 049-Music, PK-12 . Salary & Benefits: This position is full-time. The salary and benefits associated with this position is outlined in the current East Haven Education Association contract.

Plans, coordinates rehearsals, and directs students in musical programs and performances for school events . Ability to relate successfully with staff, families and students from diverse backgrounds, experiences and skill levels .

Conducts ongoing assessment of student musical learning and progress, and modifies instructional methods to fit individual student's needs, including students with special needs; conducts individual and small group instruction as needed . Performs additional duties, where appropriate, which are assigned within the scope of employment and certification.
