Position Overview

Panoramic Health is seeking an experienced Accounting Supervisor to oversee accounting and payroll operations supporting multiple nephrology practices across our organization. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, effective accounting processes, strong internal controls, and compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulations.

The Accounting Supervisor will oversee key functions, including general accounting, accounts payable, and payroll, while leading and developing a team of accounting professionals. The ideal candidate brings healthcare accounting experience, preferably within independent medical practices or physician groups, and the ability to manage a distributed team, including offshore accounting resources.

This individual will partner with internal stakeholders to streamline processes, strengthen financial oversight, and support the financial operations of our growing network of nephrology practices.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day accounting operations supporting multiple nephrology practices, including general accounting, accounts payable, and payroll. Lead, supervise, and develop accounting team members, including offshore accounting resources, to ensure accuracy, productivity, and timely completion of deliverables. Manage staff performance, conduct evaluations, coordinate onboarding, and provide ongoing training and development.

Maintain and strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures to minimize financial risk and ensure consistency across practices. Oversee the preparation and review of periodic financial statements and corporate financial reporting. Ensure financial reports comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and applicable reporting standards.

Coordinate annual audit activities and provide required financial statements, documentation, and supporting information to external auditors. Review budget reports and collaborate with practice leadership and other departments on annual budget preparation and financial planning. Coordinate preparation of corporate tax returns with appropriate internal and external partners.

Ensure compliance with applicable local, state, and federal regulations and financial reporting requirements. Identify opportunities to improve accounting workflows, systems, and reporting processes across the practice network. Partner with internal stakeholders to resolve accounting and payroll issues and promote consistent, efficient financial operations.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of five years of relevant accounting experience. Experience in healthcare accounting, preferably supporting independent medical practices, physician groups, or multi-site healthcare organizations, strongly preferred. Prior experience managing, supervising, or coordinating the work of an offshore accounting team highly preferred.

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation highly preferred. Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills, including the ability to develop staff and manage performance. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, internal controls, and tax preparation. Experience with accounting and payroll systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, and time management skills.
