Chef de Rang

Position Summary

The Chef de Rang is responsible for managing a designated section of the restaurant, ensuring a smooth, attentive, and personalized service. This role plays a key part in delivering an exceptional guest experience by maintaining the highest standards of service and coordination with the kitchen and bar teams.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Experience Welcome guests in a warm, professional, and courteous manner Present menus, provide detailed explanations, and make recommendations Take and process orders accurately Deliver a refined and attentive table service Anticipate guest needs and handle special requests Address guest feedback or concerns with professionalism and care Operations Manage and organize a specific section independently Ensure seamless communication with the kitchen and bar Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and service standards at all times Handle mise en place, service flow, and table resetting Teamwork Supervise and support Commis de Rang Assist in training and onboarding new team members Collaborate closely with colleagues and other departments Qualifications & Skills Degree or diploma in Hospitality or related field preferred Previous experience in a similar role, ideally in luxury hospitality Excellent grooming and attention to detail Strong interpersonal and communication skills Fluency in Arabic (Darija), French and English (additional languages are a plus) Ability to perform well under pressure Core Competencies Guest-oriented mindset Strong organizational skills Team spirit Adaptability and flexibility Attention to detail
