Operations Analyst

About the Position: This person is a senior analyst and planner for the military's health system . They work in the main operations center of the Defense Health Agency (DHA), located in Falls Church, Virginia, and are responsible for ensuring that all military hospitals and clinics worldwide are prepared for any situation, from daily operations to major crises.

Salary and leave accrual negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes analyzing operational readiness metrics to identify systemic trends across geographically dispersed healthcare facilities; AND formulating operational policies to align regional healthcare operations with organizational goals; AND coordinating disaster preparedness activities to maintain business continuity during crises; AND liaising with external stakeholders to synchronize communication during multi-agency operations.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS 11]). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
