• Milledgeville Workplace: Central State Hospital Available Shift: 10am-6:30pm Job Summary: Under broad supervision, prepares and builds food items according to standardized recipes and directions. Clean work areas, equipment, utensils, dishes and silverware. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Properly stores food by adhering to DBHDD food safety policies, procedures, and sanitation. Set up workstations including prep tables, service counters, hot wells, steam tables, etc. . Performs pre- work such as washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding fruits and vegetables. Carries pans of food to and from workstations, stove, and refrigerator in accordance with safety, and rotation procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

One (1) year of work experience as an assistant in preparing, cooking and serving food in a food service operation. Six (6) months’ experience in following menus in serving diets.
