Physician Assistant

Under supervision of a physician, in accordance with written policies and statutes, to perform diagnostic and therapeutic tasks in all primary care and specialty care settings. Physician Assistants (PA's) within the Santa Clara County Healthcare System provide health care under the supervision of physicians and surgeons.

They are formally trained to examine patients, diagnose injuries and illnesses, and provide treatment. They practice in all settings and provide care to patients of all ages.
