Activity Coordinator - Part-Time in Assisted Living

This position is responsible for coordinating and implementing activities in an Assisted Living setting. Assesses residents’ needs and develops plans for programming that meets identified needs. Leads or assists with conducting programming. Evaluates effectiveness of programming. Assures community involvement with center/campus and works with volunteers.

Keeps activity area free of hazards. Keeps potentially harmful substances in locked storage and discards properly. Follows appropriate and adequate safety measures while on outings. Assures residents are supervised at all times while in planned groups/outings, etc. Reports signs / symptoms of resident infections to appropriate staff.

Properly stores food items, with labels and dates placed on all items and containers. Properly cleans/sanitizes supplies/equipment according to set schedule. Follows proper guidelines/policies regarding pets/animals.
