Perfusionist

You will be responsible for managing the perfusion of cardiopulmonary bypass cases, operating and maintaining heart-lung machines, blood analysis equipment and other accessory equipment so as to ensure safe conduct of surgery by the cardiovascular surgeon. For the Senior Perfusionist post, you will also assist the Chief Perfusionist in supervising and training of Perfusionists to support the surgeons in cardiovascular operations.

Candidates with relevant qualification and experience will be considered for Senior Perfusionist post.

Requirements

Recognised Degree, preferably majoring in Biological Sciences At least 1 to 2 years’ relevant experience in managing perfusions involving congenital (infant / paediatric), ischemic heart and vascular diseases Service-oriented, alert, observant and dexterous Candidates without perfusion management experience may be considered if he/she has at least 2 to 3 years of other work experience, preferably in a healthcare setting Documented proof of: (i) Measles (or MMR

• Mumps, Measles and Rubella) vaccination or serological evidence of measles immunity; and (ii) Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria and Pertussis) vaccination received within the last 10 years, as required for all healthcare workers under the Healthcare Services Act.
