Inventory Control Tech

Type: Per Diem Job Shift: Day Holiday Rotation: Department: Purchasing Reporting to the Purchasing Director the Inventory Control Technician is responsible for ordering and purchasing of inventory locations, maintaining inventory database, maintaining correct inventory and assisting with materials management directives.

Meets with vendors by appointment to obtain information requested, processes new items requests prior to use/item conversion, and keeps abreast of changes pertaining to all inventory locations by attending necessary meetings and communicating with department management. Provides support for distribution/ warehouse staff by performing the duties when needed.

Minimum Education: High school graduate preferred. Minimum Experience/Skills: 3+ years experience in inventory control and/or hospital supply chain experience. Proven knowledge and experience with requisition and inventory control systems; ability to communicate at a high level to interact with department directors and nurses.
