Substitute Principal

Posting : AP7901 Location: District Wide Position: Substitute Principal Notes: POOL POSTING FOR THE 2026-27 SCHOOL YEAR The position of Principal is done for the purpose/s of maintaining overall school site operations; receiving, distributing, and communicating information to enforce school, District and State policies; maintaining safety of school environment; coordinating site activities; communicating information to staff; and addressing situations, problems and/or conflicts.

Job Responsibilities

Provides instructional leadership and professional development to all staff members. Fosters and develops a positive school culture and effective learning environment. Engages parents and community members in supporting a positive, welcoming school environment, supportive of all students. Maintains student safety and handles special cases as necessary.

Participates on committees pertinent to the operation of the district.

Qualifications

Master's degree required with a major in educational administration or appropriate related field. At least three years of successful experience as a classroom teacher. Experience as an Assistant Principal or Principal preferred. A valid state certificate to practice as a school administrator.
