Full-Time Maintenance Technician - Forest Park

Job Title: Full-Time Maintenance Technician (required on-call rotation)

Location: Northland Village Apartments, 704 Northland Blvd, Forest Park, OH 45240

Pay: $25–$30 per hour, based on experience, plus a $50 monthly cell phone stipend

We are seeking an experienced and reliable Maintenance Technician with a results-oriented mindset and a positive attitude for our Northland Village apartments in Forest Park. This position is responsible for the maintenance and repair of buildings, landscaping, and equipment. The technician will perform various tasks to keep the properties well-maintained and operational, including overseeing unit turnover.

Responsibilities:

• Maintenance: Inspect and maintain plumbing, electrical, HVAC, buildings, grounds, and equipment; oversee contractors as directed.
• Repairs: Complete routine carpentry, leak, painting, appliance, smoke detector, and lighting repairs promptly while limiting outside vendor use.
• Inspections: Identify maintenance needs and ensure compliance with safety and fair housing requirements.
• Operations: Prepare vacant units, maintain common areas, and keep accurate maintenance and inventory records.

Qualifications:

• Participate in a five-week, multi-property on-call rotation.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; satisfactory background and MVR checks required.
• Experience: Multifamily or commercial maintenance required; pool experience preferred.
• Skills: HVAC experience and basic electrical, plumbing, and carpentry skills required; EPA certification is a plus.
• Effective English communication, strong interpersonal skills and work ethic, and ability to work independently.
• Physical: Ability to perform manual labor, lift more than 50 pounds, and work in varying weather.
