Assistant Controller
Job description
StyleCraft is a group of local, family-owned companies. Our Mission is to Create Communities that Inspire People to Live Up. We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated, full-time Assistant Controllerto join our team to oversee accounting reporting and compliance for StyleCraft.
The Assistant Controller will play a critical role in managing the financial health of our company. You will be responsible for overseeing all accounting functions, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting that will support decision-making. This role will involve managing financial records, the accounting team, and processes, while working closely with operations management and other departments.
Responsibilities

Financial & Cost Accounting Reporting to industry and GAAP standards.

Develop & implement policy/procedures/internal controls and ensure adherence.

Budget setting/monitoring.
-
Compliance with regulatory agencies.
-
Tax (Real estate/property/income).
-
Cash Flow Projections (short and medium term) and Bank Loans.

Month/Quarter/Year end close process.

Manage Accounting team.
Qualifications
-
Bachelor's degree required. Post graduate education and/or certification preferred. CPA or CPA candidate required.

6+ years professional accounting experience with at least 3 years of Accounting Management and/or at Assistant Controller level.

Possess strong cost accounting, internal control, and problem-solving skills.

Demonstrate a high level of communication, interpersonal and leadership skills with previous experience managing/leading teams effectively including working collaboratively with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.

Requires a strong working knowledge of Microsoft applications, including MS Excel, SharePoint, CoPilot/AI; as well as other ERP and reporting systems with an eagerness to adopt and integrate new technologies into accounting and operations.

Self-directed with the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Experience in construction or real estate is highly desirable.

Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting compliance requirements.
