Facilities Trades Worker

Are you skilled with your hands and ready to keep our buildings running smoothly? The City of Roanoke is looking for a Facilities Trades Worker to join our Facilities Division within Public Works. In this role, you'll perform preventative maintenance and support a skilled carpenter across a wide range of hands-on projects.

You'll resurface and polish concrete walkways in city buildings, maintain facilities equipment, and take on basic carpentry work, including wood and metal stud framing. Your day-to-day will also include removing and installing ceiling systems, carpet, VCT tile, and ceramic tile, along with working with wallboard, wall trim, doors, and windows.
