• Harvey, IL, Salary Range: $75000.00 - $80000.00Salary, Job Shift: 1st, LB Steel, an industry leading manufacturer of heavy fabrications for the construction, agriculture, mining and rail industries, is seeking a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) to join our team. This position reports to the Quality Manager and is responsible for: Conducting in-process and final inspections of welds both visually and using inspection tools. Identifying weld defects and other nonconformances to drawings, standards and specifications. Interpreting technical drawings and weld symbols. Qualifying welders and maintaining certifications. Documenting inspection results and initiating corrective actions. Job Requirements: Must have current CWI Certification 3+ years of experience in a heavy fabrication environment NDT experience a plus Must be a hands-on, highly motivated self-starter requiring minimal supervision Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Efficient time management skills and the ability to multitask effectively High school diploma or equivalent required Job Type: Full-time position with benefits.
