Maintenance Assistant / Van Driver

Full-Time Van Driver / Maintenance Assistant Position Overview This full-time role is approximately: 50% Resident Transportation (Van Driver) 50% Maintenance Assistance The successful candidate will safely transport residents to appointments, outings, and scheduled activities while also assisting with the upkeep, maintenance, and appearance of our community.

Responsibilities

Safely transport residents to medical appointments, shopping trips, and community outings. Assist residents with entering and exiting the vehicle as needed. Maintain transportation schedules and documentation. Perform routine inspections and ensure the community vehicle is clean, fueled, and in safe operating condition.

Maintenance Duties: Assist with general building maintenance and repairs. Complete work orders in a timely manner. Perform preventative maintenance tasks. Help maintain the grounds, common areas, and exterior appearance of the community. Assist with painting, light plumbing, electrical repairs, HVAC maintenance, and other general maintenance duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (required). Previous maintenance experience required. Ability to safely operate a passenger van. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks including bending, climbing, and standing for extended periods.

Dependable, organized, and able to work independently and as part of a team. Experience working in senior living, hospitality, or healthcare is a plus. Why Join Harmony at Savannah?
