Operations Fellow

About the Position We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven individual to provide administrative support to our COO and the broader Operations team. This six month fellowship is perfect for an individual seeking entry-level operations or development experience and who has an interest in non-profit fundraising, strong time management, and a desire to learn in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.

This is a hybrid position that will involve in person work in the Alexandria area at least 1 day a week. Core Responsibilities Performing administrative duties such as gift tracking, prospect tracking, receipt coding and correspondence Assist with donor acknowledgment processes and stewardship activities Assist with data entry tasks to support development work Support event planning and execution for donor cultivation and recognition as needed Completing assorted errands in the DC area in support of the Operations team Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet expected deadlines Maintain high standard of work in a nimble, fast paced environment Perform other duties as assigned Experience/Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Must have a vehicle that can be used for local tasks and errands Strong attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel Ability to handle confidential information with discretion Interest in nonprofit fundraising and development Willingness to enthusiastically complete administrative tasks to support the department Proven background in operations (tracking receipts, etc) preferred Familiarity with Salesforce and/or Mailchimp is preferred About MPU More Perfect Union is an advocacy, journalism, and education organization with a mission to build power for the working class.
