Power BI Consultant (Analytics & Reporting)

Role Overview We are seeking a Power BI Consultant to design, build, and optimize enterprise‑grade analytics and reporting solutions that support executive decision‑making, operational performance, and financial visibility across a complex, global organization. This role focuses on delivering scalable, governed, and high‑performance Power BI solutions using modern Microsoft analytics capabilities, including Power BI Service, DAX, semantic models, and Microsoft Fabric‑aligned architectures.
The ideal candidate combines strong technical depth with a solid understanding of business KPIs, manufacturing or operations‑centric data, and stakeholder communication.
Key Responsibilities
Power BI Solution Design & Development Design and build Power BI reports, dashboards, and semantic models for enterprise audiences Develop optimized DAX measures for complex KPIs, trends, and performance analysis Implement star‑schema and dimensional models to support scalable analytics Apply best practices for visual design, usability, and performance Modern Microsoft Analytics Stack Leverage Power BI Service capabilities including: Apps, workspaces, deployment pipelines Row‑level security (RLS) and object‑level security Scheduled refresh and data gateways Work with Microsoft Fabric‑aligned architectures, including: Lakehouse / warehouse concepts Direct Lake or Direct.
Query strategies (where applicable) Partner with data engineers on data pipelines, refresh strategies, and model optimization Data Integration & Performance Consume data from multiple enterprise sources, such as: ERP and operational systems Manufacturing, supply chain, and finance platforms Cloud data warehouses and lakes Optimize report and model performance by: Reducing model size and cardinality Optimizing DAX and relationships Implementing aggregation and incremental refresh strategies Stakeholder Enablement & Governance Partner with business stakeholders to understand reporting and analytics needs Translate requirements into clear, trusted dashboards and insights Establish governance standards for datasets, metrics, and reporting consistency Support user adoption through documentation, walkthroughs, and enablement sessions Requirements Qualifications Required 5–8+ years of hands‑on experience with Power BI Strong expertise in: DAX Data modeling (star schema, fact/dimension design) Power BI Service & workspace management Experience working with large, complex datasets Strong SQL skills for data analysis and validation Proven ability to build executive‑ready dashboards and operational reports Experience working in enterprise or global organizations Excellent communication skills with technical and non‑technical stakeholders Nice to Have (Highly Valued) Experience with Microsoft Fabric concepts (Lakehouse, Warehouse, One.
