• Rutland, VT, Position Type: Full Time, Salary Range: $18.00 - $19.78Hourly, Job Shift: 1st Shift, Bolt Division Machine Operator POSITION SUMMARY: The Band III Machine Operator – 1st shift – will set up, operate, trouble shoot, and maintain bolt making equipment. • Conducts machine troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance
• Able to read a micrometer and scale
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• Must have, or be willing to obtain, a forklift license
• Comply with OSHA Safety and Health rules and Carris Reels safety program
• Maintain clean and orderly work areas
• Excellent attitude, communication, and team work skills
• All other duties as required Qualifications: Education / Experience: Prior machine operation/manufacturing experience preferred General knowledge of small hand tools. Forklift experience/license preferred High School Diploma or educational equivalent preferred Math skills including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Self-motivated and able to work independently Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of changing situations Proficiency in reading a tape measure Occasional lifting may be required
