Data Scientist, Level 3

What You Will Do

As a Data Scientist Level 3 at Independent Software, you will work with large-scale datasets and distributed data-processing environments to support complex mission requirements. You will use Python, Spark, and data-processing technologies to analyze, transform, and manage data while applying a strong understanding of network and protocol analysis.

This position combines data science and large-scale data processing with network and protocol analysis.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze and process large-scale datasets using Python and Spark Develop and support scalable data-processing workflows Perform data transformation, integration, and processing across multiple data sources Apply network and protocol analysis knowledge to complex datasets Analyze network and communications data to identify patterns, characteristics, and relationships Develop and maintain automated data-processing pipelines Support distributed data-processing environments Perform data analysis and develop technical solutions supporting mission requirements Document analytical methods, processes, and findings Collaborate with technical and mission teams to deliver actionable results Required Skills and Qualifications: Analyze and process large-scale datasets using Python and Spark Develop and support scalable data-processing workflows Perform data transformation, integration, and processing across multiple data sources Apply network and protocol analysis knowledge to complex datasets Analyze network and communications data to identify patterns, characteristics, and relationships Develop and maintain automated data-processing pipelines Support distributed data-processing environments Perform data analysis and develop technical solutions supporting mission requirements Document analytical methods, processes, and findings Collaborate with technical and mission teams to deliver actionable results Experience with ETL, dataflow, and data-processing workflows is a plus Education and Experience: Candidates must meet one of the following: Master's degree plus six (6) years of relevant experience; OR Bachelor's degree plus eight (8) years of relevant experience; OR Associate's degree plus ten (10) years of relevant experience Degree must be in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline.
