Key Responsibilities

Assist Manufacturing Engineers in the setup and troubleshooting of production lines, tooling, fixtures, and equipment. Support the development and revision of manufacturing work instructions, routings, and standard operating procedures. Collect and analyze production data to identify inefficiencies or quality issues. Perform hands-on fabrication, testing, or mechanical assembly tasks to support prototyping or production ramp-up.

Maintain records of engineering changes, test results, and technical data. Coordinate with Quality and Production teams to ensure alignment with AS9100 and internal standards. Support First Article Inspections (FAI), process validations, and configuration control activities. Assist with time studies, process documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

Associate’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering Technology (or equivalent technical field); Bachelor’s preferred. 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or engineering support role, preferably in aerospace or defense. Working knowledge of AS9100 standards and defense manufacturing practices.

Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, GD&T, and specifications. Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and manufacturing documentation practices. Comfortable with mechanical tools, inspection instruments, and basic shop equipment. Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.

Preferred Skills

Experience with lean manufacturing, 5S, or Six Sigma principles. CAD or CAM software proficiency (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD). Exposure to composite, machining, welding, or electronic assembly processes.
