Groundskeeping Superintendent

Oakridge is seeking an experienced and motivated Grounds Keeping Superintendent based in Brantford to oversee year-round exterior maintenance operations for commercial properties. The ideal candidate has hands-on grounds maintenance experience and a proven ability to lead crews, manage multiple sites, and maintain high service standards.

Job Title: Grounds Keeping Superintendent Service Area: Brantford, Kitchener, Waterloo, and London Vacancy: 1 Compensation: $60,000–$70,000 annually. Company vehicle and phone. Company-matched RRSP after one year.

after three months. Experience and Requirements: Previous grounds maintenance experience is required, including lawn care, landscaping, and commercial property maintenance. Previous supervisory experience leading grounds maintenance crews is required. Experience coordinating crews, equipment, and schedules across multiple properties.

Knowledge of grounds maintenance equipment and safe operating practices. Experience with snow and ice management operations. Must live in Brantford and be able to travel throughout the service area. Valid driver’s licence. Leadership and Team Management: Lead and motivate crews to maintain high standards of workmanship and safety.

Assign daily tasks and ensure work is completed efficiently and on schedule. Provide direction, training, and feedback to crew members. Address crew concerns and resolve conflicts professionally. Communication and Client Relations: Clearly communicate work orders, safety requirements, and expectations. Respond to crew feedback and client concerns promptly.

Maintain professional relationships with property owners and managers. Organization and Quality Control: Plan and prioritize daily and weekly maintenance activities. Conduct site inspections to identify and correct deficiencies. Monitor service quality and ensure properties meet company and client standards.
