Strong written, verbal, organizational, time-management, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with employees at all organizational levels.

Satisfactory employment, attendance, performance, and disciplinary history, subject to OPSO policy.

Preferred Qualifications

Louisiana POST Instructor Certification or other specialized instructor credentials. Experience teaching Louisiana POST curriculum or training in law enforcement, corrections, military, public safety, or professional-development settings. Experience developing curricula, lesson plans, examinations, or practical assessments.

Specialized expertise in areas such as firearms, defensive tactics, corrections, emergency response, investigations, crisis intervention, de-escalation, leadership, legal updates, report writing, or technology. Bachelor’s degree or higher in criminal justice, education, organizational development, public administration, or a related field.
