Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Your Opportunity: Description: As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide a wide variety of nursing services to patients, families, communities and populations, while taking necessary steps to ensure their safety and well-being. In your role, you will utilize nursing processes, through critical thinking, problem solving and decision making, as well as teach, counsel and advocate on behalf of patients and their families.

• Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification. Additional Required Qualifications: Previous operating room experience including scrub and circulating functions in a Surgical Suite setting is required. Peri-operative course is required or a minimum of 2 years current experience in the scrub/circulatory role within a Surgical Suite. Current experience is defined as working in a OR setting within the past 2 years. The ability to cope and effectively perform in stressful and/or emergency situations is essential. The incumbent must possess leadership and decision-making ability and be able to exercise sound judgement and use initiative. Good interpersonal and public relations skills as well as good communication skills, oral and written are essential. Good organization and coordination skills required. The position is very physically demanding. Must be able to lift.

Preferred Qualifications

Recent peri-operative nursing experience with General Surgery. Orthopedics and OB /GYN is an asset.
