Diesel Mechanic

Key Responsibilities

Perform maintenance and repairs on diesel and non-diesel vehicles and heavy equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues with vehicles and equipment. Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.

Repair and maintain various systems, including powertrains, hydraulics, fuel injection, and air brake systems. Utilize diagnostic tools and manuals to assess vehicle and equipment conditions. Maintain accurate repair records and documentation. Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations. Provide guidance and support to junior mechanics as needed.

Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of experience working as a Diesel Mechanic. Strong expertise in diesel engine repair and maintenance. Proficient with diagnostic tools, schematics, and repair manuals. Ability to perform complex repairs with minimal supervision. Knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and fuel systems. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

and work in varying environmental conditions. Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred). Must provide own hand tools and toolbox. Physical Demands: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work in various physical positions. Must be able to work in all weather conditions.
