Consistent with this approach, we hire the best qualified candidates for all positions. Edelman is looking for a Finance Analyst to join our Commercial Finance team in Chicago.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone early in their finance career who is eager to learn, build strong business relationships, and gain hands-on experience supporting the financial operations of client accounts. In this role, you'll work closely with the Finance Manager and internal account teams, supporting financial analysis, billing, revenue tracking, and reporting across multiple client projects.
Beyond managing financial processes, you'll help teams understand financial information and make informed business decisions. If you're organized, curious, and excited to grow your career in a collaborative, client-focused environment, we'd love to hear from you.
Who You Are
You're a detail-oriented and collaborative professional with a foundation in finance or accounting. You're comfortable working with Excel, enjoy solving problems, and are interested in understanding how finance supports business operations. You bring a positive attitude, strong organizational skills, and a willingness to learn, take feedback, and grow alongside your team.
What You'll Do
Partner with finance colleagues and internal account teams to support the financial management of multiple client accounts and projects. Assist with financial analysis, monthly revenue tracking, reporting, and budget management. Review client contracts and help account teams understand financial information, billing requirements, and project-related questions.
Support billing and invoicing processes, including fee reconciliations, invoice reviews, and timely submission of documentation. Monitor project expenses, purchase orders, time reporting, and financial records to help ensure accuracy and compliance. Assist with project setup, financial queries, audit requests, and client reporting needs.
Collaborate with project managers and finance leadership to identify discrepancies, address financial questions, and support effective decision-making. Contribute to an inclusive and collaborative environment by embracing diverse perspectives, respectful communication, and continuous learning.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting, or at least one year of relevant finance or accounting experience in lieu of a degree. Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and basic formulas. Foundational understanding of accounting and financial concepts.
Preferred Qualifications
Approximately 1–2 years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, or related business functions; recent graduates are encouraged to apply. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities. Clear interpersonal communication skills and an interest in collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Ability to understand financial information and communicate concepts to colleagues outside of finance. A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with openness to feedback and continuous learning. Interest in building a career in commercial finance and developing business partnership skills. Salary Range $50,000–$67,000 per year.
An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs.
The range listed is just one component of DJEH’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, a Paid Time Off policy, and region-specific benefits. DJEH offers a wide range of benefits: medical and dental insurance, vision, 401K, life insurance, disability insurance, paid time off, travel assistance and wellness programing.
