Disability Support Worker - Eastern Suburbs

About The Role
We are seeking compassionate and reliable Disability Support Workers to support a variety of NDIS participants with complex behaviours and support needs in the Eastern Suburbs. You will provide person-centered support, promote safety and independence, and assist participants to achieve their goals. The role requires a calm, consistent and professional approach, with a strong understanding of maintaining professional boundaries and responding effectively to behaviours of concern.
Your Duties and Responsibilities: Provide person-centered support to participants with complex behavioural support needs Support participants with community access and achieving their individual goals Assist with manual handling, personal care and other activites of daily living Follow Behaviour Support Plans and Client Care Plans including established safety strategies Respond calmly and appropropriately to behaviours of concern and challenging behaviours Work collaboratively with the broader care team About You: Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability or a similar/related field Minimum 2+ years experience as a Disability Support Worker Experience supporting participants specifically with mental illness and complex behaviours of concern Strong understanding of professional boundaries Experience providing manual handling, personal care and medication support Ability to follow support plans and procedures Ability to maintain professionalism, confidentiality and composure in high-pressure situations Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, Working with Children Check as well as First Aid and CPR Training Victorian Driver's Licence, your own registered vehicle and comprehensive insurance for community access Benefits and Culture Care.
