The Nordic Center at the Woodstock Inn & Resort is seeking Nordic Ski Instructors to join the team. With an extensive network of winter trails throughout Mt. Peg and Mt. Tom, the Nordic Center offers more than 45 km of groomed trails suitable for both skate and classic cross-country skiing. Snowshoers & fat bike riders may utilize the groomed ski trail areas, as well as a series of ungroomed trails for a more invigorating outdoor experience.

The Woodstock Nordic Center provides rentals for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing, winter clothing, accessories, and trail passes.

Job Summary

The Nordic Ski Instructors are responsible for teaching the techniques and safety of Nordic skiing to individuals of various skill levels. Job Specifications: Expected Pay Range: starting at $18.00 per hour The pay scale shown is the range that we reasonably expect to pay. Actual compensation may be adjusted on a candidate's qualification's and/or experience.

Shift & Schedule Availability: Full-Time and Part-Time Seasonal positions available flexible schedule including weekends and holidays. Winter seasonal position starting in November 2026 Job Responsibilities: Helping students to build their confidence and improve their skiing abilities. Organizing and leading Nordic skiing excursions for groups of varying skill levels.

Assisting in the organization and running of Nordic skiing events and competitions. Providing feedback and advice to students to help improve their skills. Evaluating the ability level of the students and providing appropriate instruction. Teaching students the techniques and skills needed for Nordic skiing. Ensuring the safety of students by explaining and enforcing safety rules and guidelines.

Conducting equipment checks and advising students on proper equipment maintenance. Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the latest Nordic skiing techniques and industry trends. Job Requirements: Work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team. Must be a Nordic Skier and proficient in both classic and skate skiing. Deep knowledge of Nordic skiing techniques and safety protocols.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Patient and positive attitude with a passion for teaching. High school diploma or equivalent; certification from a recognized ski instructor association is a plus. Ability to ski for extended periods on varied terrain and in diverse weather conditions. Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and carry up to 30 pounds.
