The CDL Driver for 2nd/3rd shift in Saint Henry, OH plays a critical role in ensuring the timely and safe transportation of goods to various destinations. Minimum Qualifications

Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or B with appropriate endorsements. Clean driving record with no recent violations or accidents. Ability to pass DOT physical examination and drug screening. Experience operating commercial vehicles, preferably in a similar role or industry. Knowledge of federal and state transportation regulations and safety standards.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience driving during 2nd or 3rd shifts or overnight hours. Familiarity with GPS and electronic logging devices (ELDs). Experience with loading and unloading freight using equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts. Strong customer service skills and ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.

Basic mechanical knowledge to perform minor vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

Operate commercial motor vehicles safely and efficiently during 2nd and 3rd shifts, adhering to all DOT regulations and company policies. Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and report any mechanical issues promptly. Load and unload cargo as required, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage and maintain shipment integrity.

Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, and delivery details in compliance with federal and state regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatch, warehouse personnel, and customers to coordinate delivery schedules and address any delivery concerns. Follow established routes and schedules while remaining flexible to accommodate changes or urgent delivery requests.

Ensure all paperwork, including bills of lading and delivery receipts, is completed accurately and submitted on time.
