Machine Operator II (2nd Shift)

Precision Custom Components (PCC) is seeking a talented Machine Operator II (2nd Shift) to join our team. This is an on-site position reporting to our manufacturing facility in York, PA. This position is part of our collective bargaining unit (union). The current wage is $32.87 per hour plus a $2.00 per hour shift differential for 2nd shift (3:30 PM – 11:55 PM).

As a Machine Operator II, you will help produce critical components for commercial nuclear, defense, energy, aerospace, and industrial applications while supporting safe, accurate, and efficient manufacturing operations.

Essential Duties

• Operate CNC and manual machine tools under established procedures and work instructions.
• Load and unload materials, tooling, and workpieces as required to support production activities.
• Monitor machine operations to ensure parts are produced in accordance with specifications and quality requirements.
• Read and interpret basic blueprints, drawings, work instructions, and production documentation.
• Use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other inspection tools to verify part dimensions.
• Perform routine machine adjustments, tool changes, and preventative maintenance activities as directed.
• Identify and report equipment, tooling, quality, or safety concerns to supervision.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and quality-focused work area while following company procedures and applicable shop standards.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and assist higher-level machinists and operators as needed. Education/Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior manufacturing or machine operation experience heavily preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and manufacturing documentation.
• Experience using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges preferred.
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and basic mathematical aptitude.
