Serve as the primary contact for Engineering operations during the evening. Assist in onboarding and training new employees. Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, safety, and service excellence. Delegate appropriate responsibilities to encourage employee growth and accountability. Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development. Support management and co-workers to maintain a positive work environment. 🔧 Engineering Operations & Maintenance Oversee evening operations and ensure continuity of services. Monitor and maintain building systems to ensure safe and efficient operation. Respond to and coordinate evening service requests. Support evening maintenance projects and operational initiatives. Monitor work order completion and ensure timely follow-up on assigned tasks. Conduct inspections of facilities, equipment, and mechanical systems. Assist in maintaining preventative maintenance programs and schedules. Troubleshoot equipment and resolve operational issues efficiently and effectively. Support the maintenance, repair, and operation of Club facilities and equipment. 🚨 Safety & Emergency Response Lead emergency response efforts during the evening shift. Maintain emergency response readiness and ensure appropriate procedures are followed. Make sound decisions during emergency situations. Monitor building systems and life safety equipment to help ensure a safe environment for members, guests, and employees. Promote a culture of safety and ensure operational concerns are addressed promptly. 📞 Communication & Coordination Coordinate communication between shifts to ensure seamless operations. Communicate important operational updates, outstanding work orders, and maintenance concerns to the appropriate team members and management. Provide clear direction and support to evening Engineering team members. Communicate effectively with other departments to address facility needs and service requests. Maintain a commitment to providing exceptional service to members, guests, and employees. 📈 Training & Continuous Improvement Support the development of Engineering team members through training, coaching, and delegation. Identify opportunities to improve facility operations, maintenance practices, and work order efficiency. Demonstrate a willingness to learn new skills and seek additional training as needed. Support departmental goals and initiatives that promote safety, efficiency, and service excellence. 🏢 Departmental Support & Additional Responsibilities Represent the Engineering Department in the absence of the Facilities Manager. Assist with special projects and initiatives as requested. Accommodate a flexible work schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
🎓 What You Bring 💼 Job Knowledge, Core Competencies, and Expectations Advanced knowledge of building systems, maintenance practices, and facility operations. Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and life safety systems. Ability to troubleshoot equipment and resolve operational issues efficiently and effectively.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Commitment to providing exceptional service to members, guests, and employees. Ability to make sound decisions during emergency situations. Ability to support management and co-workers in maintaining a positive work environment. Willingness to learn new skills and seek training as needed.
