Purchasing Agent

Reyco supports a steady volume of commercial and federal work across the DC metro, and material is where schedules and margins are won or lost. We need a Purchasing Agent to own material buying and tracking from quote through delivery, working directly with supply houses and manufacturers. This is an on-site role at our Hughesville, MD office.

You'll support our Project Managers and field crews, and you'll be the person who knows where every order stands. Supply house experience (counter, inside sales, outside sales, or purchasing) is a strong fit.

Responsibilities

Request and compare quotes from supply houses and manufacturers, and place orders Buy against project budgets and estimates, and flag variances to the PM early Track orders, lead times, and deliveries, and chase late or backordered items Coordinate submittals, release schedules, and deliveries with the field Maintain supplier relationships and pricing agreements Keep material status current in Build.

Ops so PMs and crews can see it Reconcile packing slips and supplier invoices against POs Support PMs with project admin, including RFIs, change order pricing, and closeout documentation Requirements 1+ year working at or directly with electrical supply houses or distributors (counter, inside or outside sales, purchasing, or contractor-side buying) Working knowledge of commercial electrical materials (gear, lighting, conduit, wire, long-lead items) Ability to read material lists Strong follow-through and comfort working vendors by phone and email Proficiency with Excel and project or ERP software Nice to Have Existing relationships with DC-area electrical distributors and manufacturer reps Field background as an electrician or helper Experience with federal or government project purchasing (Buy American, submittal requirements) Experience with construction project management software Read takeoffs and basic electrical drawings Interest in growing into an Assistant Project Manager role All Reyco Positions Include 💰 Competitive Pay 🏥 Health / Dental 📈 401(k) with 7% Company Contribution (no match required) 🏖 PTO + Paid Holidays Apply for this Role Questions?
