Salesforce Developer
Job description
Salesforce Developer Location: Addison, TX (Hybrid) Employment Type: Full-Time About the Role We are modernizing our enterprise technology, applications, and business processes, and Salesforce is becoming an increasingly important part of that transformation. We're looking for a Salesforce Developer to help design and build the next generation of our Salesforce platform, reporting directly to the VP of Information Technology and working closely with the VP of Operations and other business stakeholders.
We are relatively early in our Salesforce journey. This is an opportunity to help shape not only the solutions we build, but also the architecture, development practices, integrations, automation, and standards that will support the platform as it grows. The role combines hands-on Salesforce development with solution design, systems integration, platform administration, and direct business collaboration.
You'll work extensively with Salesforce Field Service and Service Cloud while contributing across an environment that includes Sales Cloud, Knowledge, Agentforce, Payments, and integrations with external enterprise systems. We're looking for someone who does more than simply implement documented requirements. The successful candidate will understand the business problem behind a request, identify gaps and edge cases, consider downstream impacts, recommend solutions, and take ownership of delivering reliable and maintainable results.
What You'll Do
Design, develop, test, deploy, and support Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flow, and other Salesforce platform capabilities. Design and enhance Salesforce Field Service and Service Cloud solutions supporting Cases, Work Orders, Service Appointments, scheduling, dispatch, and related processes.
Work directly with business stakeholders to translate operational needs into technical solutions and identify opportunities for improvement and automation. Develop and maintain integrations between Salesforce and external systems using REST APIs, Named Credentials, Platform Events, Change Data Capture, and other appropriate patterns.
Troubleshoot complex application, data, integration, automation, and performance issues. Participate in architecture decisions and help establish development, testing, source-control, deployment, and documentation standards. Support Salesforce administration and configuration where needed, including security, permissions, data, objects, and automation.
Evaluate new Salesforce capabilities, including Agentforce and AI-enabled functionality, and recommend practical opportunities to improve business operations.
What We're Looking For
The scope and level of the position will depend on the candidate's experience and capabilities. We may hire at either the Developer or Senior Developer level and may hire more than one person. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
Must live within a reasonable commute of our office in Addison, Texas and be legally able to work in the US without company sponsorship. At least 3 years of professional Salesforce development experience. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to independently solve complex technical problems. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Required Technical Experience Salesforce Field Service and Service Cloud. Salesforce development using Apex, LWC, Flow, SOQL, and related platform technologies. Proficiency with Work Order → Service Appointment model Salesforce data models and business-process automation. External systems integration using REST APIs and event-driven integration patterns.
Salesforce security, including permission sets, roles, sharing, and record-level access. Software-development fundamentals including source control, testing, debugging, code review, deployment, and maintainable application design. Troubleshooting complex Salesforce application, automation, data, and integration issues.
Familiarity with Event-Driven Architecture in Salesforce (Platform Events, CDC). Experience with SQL & relational databases Preferred Technical Experience Experience designing complex Salesforce solutions. Experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud & Knowledge platforms Experience with Agentforce & Salesforce Payments Experiencing instructing business and technical users in supporting or using Salesforce platforms Relevant certifications a plus
