Build something that matters. At Delta Star the work we do has a real impact. Every transformer we build helps deliver reliable electricity to homes, businesses, and communities across North America. As we continue to grow, we are looking for people who want more than just a job. We are looking for individuals who want to learn, contribute, solve challenges, and build a meaningful career alongside a team that is committed to delivering power at all times.

Summary At Delta Star, we believe training is more than information, it’s transformation. We’re looking for an Instructional Designer to create learning experiences that make an immediate and lasting impact on safety, performance, and craftsmanship. If you thrive on turning complex information into clear, engaging, and practical learning, this is the role where your skills will shine.

What You’ll Do As our Instructional Designer, you’ll collaborate with subject matter experts, leaders, and safety teams to design training that meets real-world needs. You’ll use adult learning principles to develop everything from eLearning modules and job aids to instructor-led training and on-the-job learning. You’ll also measure the effectiveness of your work, making sure each program translates into improved performance across the organization.

A Day in the Life

Every day brings something different. One day you might be brainstorming with engineers on how to simplify a complex process, the next you’re building an interactive eLearning module that helps technicians practice safely. You’ll move fluidly between creative design, data-driven evaluation, and collaboration with teams across the company, always focused on one goal: building training that sticks and drives real results.

What We’re Looking For We need someone who can balance creativity with structure, ensuring training programs are both engaging and effective. The right candidate has strong instructional design expertise, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to design for diverse learners, from shop floor technicians to managers. Position Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or related field (Master’s preferred) 3+ years of instructional design experience, ideally in manufacturing or industrial environments Skilled in eLearning development tools and LMS platforms Strong grasp of adult learning theory, instructional design models, and performance improvement strategies Familiar with SCORM/xAPI standards and multimedia production Professional certifications (ATD, Kirkpatrick) preferred If you’re ready to design training that drives real change, we want to hear from you.

Whether you're on the shop floor, in the field, or in the office, you will work alongside talented people to solve meaningful challenges, power communities, and build a rewarding career.

With opportunities to learn, advance, and contribute, plus a culture built on respect, teamwork, and work-life balance, Delta Star is a place where you can thrive for the long term Benefits That Support You We believe that a rewarding career starts with feeling supported both at work and at home.
