Maintenance Tech

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Performs daily rounds and equipment checks. Addresses all maintenance needs via work orders. Attends weekly staff meetings. On-call availability. Reports areas of concern to Management. Maintains Fire Safety compliance as Representative of Plant Operations. Patches and repairs damaged areas. Makes minor plumbing repairs as necessary.

Operates all machinery not limited to “Lifts, Small Tractors and Sweepers”. Operate tools both manually and Power Tools. Performs corrective maintenance as needed throughout facility. Exhibits proficiency with the work order systems, as well as other Microsoft Office Programs. Performs minor electrical installations and repairs as necessary.

Performs minor HVAC installations and repairs as necessary. Records time and material expended on each job and completes required daily maintenance documents as appropriates. Hangs pictures, assemble items/furniture, etc. for residents and the property as needed. Performs other duties as assigned. Works in cooperation with other departments.

Other duties as they arise and directed to due by management. PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS High School diploma or equivalency. Able to communicate effectively orally and written. Able to read and interpret blue prints. Ability to work well with minimal supervision. Must be able to bend, stoop, and lift up to fifty (50-80) pounds.

Ability to work well with others to satisfy facility requirements. Able to learn and abide by state and federal regulations pertaining to plant operations in a SNF and ALF. Two (2) or more years of experience in the maintenance field.
