Job Description: Hours: 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday Looking for a motivated/efficient full-time scheduling specialist to join our team! To be a successful scheduler, you must be helpful and courteous when answering phone calls and be able to build and maintain a good rapport with referring providers, patients, and staff. The scheduler’s responsibilities include coordinating and scheduling patients, providers, and facility resources for exams.

Also includes linking complex appointments and coordinating with multiple other departments to meet the needs of the patient. Answering staff and patient’s questions on medical tests and procedures. Assure the accuracy of the physician’s order, confirm it contains all the requirements for an appropriate order and link to the appropriate upcoming appointments.

Verify insurance details and make sure that exams are scheduled correctly, authorized appropriately with the correct insurance. Initiate outbound calls to facilitate scheduling with patients. Communicate in a manner consistent with positive patient relations. Provide instructions to patients to prepare for examinations and procedures.

Confirming patient appointments. Provides exceptional customer service, organizational skills and demonstrates the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment. Independently be able to evaluate and recognize situations and their level of urgency.

Requirements

GED or High School Diploma required. 6 months related work experience preferred. Experience with computers and knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
