Business Teacher

Description: Full-time Business teaching position in a 800 student high school using a traditional seven-period schedule. Courses will include: Accounting, Marketing, Microsoft-Excel & Access; Microsoft-Word & PowerPoint, and Personal Finance. Applicant must be willing to: Work cooperatively with department colleagues.

Work collaboratively to review and enhance existing curriculum to meet the CCS. Use research-based methods to develop engaging lessons that require higher order thinking. Accommodate students with a variety of skills, abilities, and challenges. Work cooperatively to support a positive school culture. Accept professional development opportunities and invest in continual improvement.

Communicate effectively both written and verbal. Communicate high expectations for teaching and learning. Provide strong classroom management and organizational skills. Participate in extracurricular/coaching opportunities as available.

Qualifications

Appropriate certification and evidence of successful work with high school age students. Salary: Based on HEA contract.
