• Hilliard , FL, Salary Range: $10.00 - $20.00Hourly, Job Shift: Day, Duties and Responsibilities:
• Must be able to prepare timber loads for transportation down roads and highways.
• Must have good work ethics and willing to work with and assist co-workers.
• Must be aware of SMZ (stream management zones) areas.
• Must read and understand “Georgia’s Best Management Practices for Forestry” Manual. Primary Duties:
• Must be able to operate a pole saw.
• Must ensure loads are trimmed properly so the loads meet legal requirements for transportation using state and federal roadways.
• Must ensure loads are trimmed properly to meet mill specifications. (i.e., limbs are trimmed flush to each tree, and tree tops are cut to the proper size.) Secondary Duties:
• Must wear appropriate PPE at all times.
• Must complete all applicable maintenance videos.
• Must complete all applicable safety videos.

Qualifications

Skills Needed to Perform Job:

• Previous experience is preferred; however, on-the-job training from an experienced trimmer is an option.
• Must be able to lift pole saw over-head.
• Must be able to sharpen and maintain saw blades.
